Council Minutes of 12/19/00 ,;~..: LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2000-163 introduced by Councilman McKay on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $8,000,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving a free public library building and acquiring, preparing, landscaping and otherwise improving its site. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-163 adopted. Ordinance No. 2000-117 introduced by Councilman Nashar was given its second reading. An ordinance creating new Section 331.42 of the Traffic Code, entitled "Use of Mobile Telephones While Operating a Motor Vehicle," in order to regulate the use of mobile (cell) phones while operating motor vehicles on roads and streets within the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency, as thrice amended,. Ordinance No. 2000-111 introduced by Councilman McKay was given its second reading. An ordinance establishing the rates of compensation for various administrative and legislative personnel and declaring an emergency as amended. Ordinance No. 2000-164 introduced by Mayor Musial and Councilman Gareau was given its second reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $300,000 of notes, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving certain designated streets in the city by installing street lighting and related underground wiring, together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Ordinance No. 2000-165 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2000 as amended.
