,~„ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 8, 2000 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Limpert, McKay, <br />Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Kasler <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />President Saringer asked everyone to join in a moment of silence in memory of former <br />Councilman James Leonard. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of September 5, 2000 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of September 19, 2000 were approved as written. <br />President Saringer announced that the following legislation would be passed under <br />suspension of the rule: Ordinances 2000-137, 2000-138, 2000-143, 2000-146 and <br />Resolutions 2000-142, 2000-153. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) Thanks to the Friends of the Library and to the co-chairpersons of the <br />committee in support of the new library, Jacgi Templeton and Duane Limpert, for their <br />hard work in helping to pass the library issue. Mrs. Templeton and Mr. Limpert put in a <br />lot of hard work passing out literature and making presentations to various community <br />groups. Thanks also go to Donna Meyers, head librarian at the North Olmsted Library, <br />for her work in this effort. <br />2) The city will hold a Veteran's Day ceremony on Friday, November 10, at 1 p.m. in <br />front of Old Town Hall. In addition to the program, we will have a monument dedication <br />to all veterans and to former Council President and veteran James Boehmer. A time <br />capsule, which will be opened in 2025, will be buried. Everyone is invited to attend this <br />ceremony honoring our veterans. <br />3) The annual Tree Lighting will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, in the <br />City Hall front parking lot. Santa Claus will be there and refreshments will be served. <br />
