i <br />Council Minutes of 10/3/2000 <br />Resolution No. 2000-119 introduced by Councilman Limpert was given its second <br />,,, reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />lighting improvements at Ball Diamond Number Two at North Olmsted Park as detailed <br />in the plans and specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved to suspend the rules requiring <br />three readings; second by Councilwoman Kasler; motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption; second by Councilman Gareau; motion passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2000-119 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-121 introduced by Councilman McKay was given its second <br />reading. A resolution directing the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 2001, all money due and owing said city from any <br />collection sources. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-123 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the organization of the Fire Division of the Department of Public <br />Safety, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-132 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. A resolution in support of the Madelyne Hall- <br />Matthew McConnell-Akin Stewart Home Day Care Safety Act. Councilman Miller <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Councilwoman Kasler; motion passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for <br />adoption; second by Councilwoman Kasler; motion passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2000-132 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-133 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />behalf of himself and the entire Council. An ordinance authorizing the City of North <br />Olmsted to enter into the Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council of Governments and the <br />execution and delivery of the agreement establishing such Council, for the purpose of <br />jointly establishing and implementing an electricity aggregation program, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Mr. O'Grady recognized a group of high school Government class students who were in <br />the audience. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Monday, October 9, following <br />the Committee-of--the-Whole meeting at 7 p.m. The committee will discuss the pay <br />ordinances for the elected positions of Council President, Ward Council, Mayor, Law <br />Director and Finance Director. <br />7 <br /> <br />
