Council Minutes of 9/5/2000 <br />LEGISLATION <br />{, Resolution No. 2000-103 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution declaring it necessary to repair sidewalks at the following residential <br />properties located in the City of North Olmsted: Charles Road (Nos. 6507, 6523, 6603, <br />6635, 6652, 6684, 6700, 6715, 6747) and Georgette Avenue (Nos. 4404, 4626), and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-104 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />O'Grady on behalf of Councilman Gareau. An ordinance accepting a sanitary sewer <br />easement located on property owned by Edward A. and Elaine M. Yakamavage and <br />designated as Permanent Parcel No. 232-14-087 Cuyahoga County Maps and Records, <br />said easement shown on Exhibit "C" and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-105 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the <br />wyeing of sanitary sewer manholes on Blossom Boulevard and storm sewer <br />improvements on MacKenzie Road as detailed in the plans and specifications on file and <br />authorizing he Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring and emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-107 was introduced and place on .first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler. An ordinance authorizing and directing Don Copeland, Director of the <br />Department of Human Resources, to make application on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted for Community Development Block Grant funds for the fiscal year 2001 for <br />multiple projects titled sidewalk curb cuts for disabled persons and older persons, <br />Americans with Disabilities Act improvements at the North Olmsted Recreation <br />complex, and water main improvements for Summerland Avenue, Virginia Avenue, <br />MacBeth Avenue and Esther Avenue and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-108 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />agreement with Polytech, Inc. to provide engineering services for the design of <br />intersection improvements at Clague Road and Lorain Road and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-109 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year <br />beginning January 1, 2001, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-110 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay. An ordinance amending Sections 1 and 3 of Ordinance No. 2000-90 to provide <br />for the issuance and sale of bonds that will mature over a period of ten years, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for the suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously.
