Council Minutes of 9/5/2000 <br />Ordinance No. 2000-112 was introduced and place on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />.~, <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the A.F.S.C.M.E. <br />Council Eight, Local 3517, N.O.M.B.L., which agreement is the collective bargaining <br />agreement between the city and the North Olmsted Local 3517, N.O.M.B.L., and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-113 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2000. <br />Resolution No. 2000-114 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to submit and seek financial assistance from the State <br />Issue 2 Infrastructure Bond Program for funding of various municipal capital <br />infrastructure improvements projects, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance establishing the compensation and benefits to be paid to all part-time <br />hourly employees employed by the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilwoman <br />Kasler. A resolution expressing support for the passage of House Bill 761, which would <br />impose an additional mandatory seven (7) year term of imprisonment upon individuals <br />convicted of certain felony offenses involving the discharge of firearms at peace of <br />officers, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-117 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Nashar. An ordinance creating new Section 331.42 of the Traffic Code, entitled "Use of <br />Mobile Telephones While Operating a Motor Vehicle, " in order to regulate the use of <br />mobile (cell) phones while operating motor vehicles on roads and streets within the City <br />of North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-118 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller on behalf of himself, Councilman Gareau and Councilwoman Kasler. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 1139.12 of Chapter 1139 of the Zoning Code, entitled <br />"Irrigation of Landscaped Areas," so as to require that all landscaped areas located on <br />parcels of land within the General Retail Business District be serviced by underground <br />irrigation systems. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Saringer made the following committee assignments: Resolution 2000-103 to <br />Streets & Drainage; Ordinance 2000-104 to Environmental Control; Resolution 2000-105 <br />to Finance and BZD; Ordinances 2000-107, 2000-117 and Resolution 2000-116 to <br />Legislative; Ordinance 2000-108 to Streets & Drainage and Finance; Resolutions <br />2000-109, 2000-114 and Ordinances 2000-112, 2000-113, 2000-115 to Finance; <br />Ordinance 2000-118 to BZD. <br />9 <br />
