Council Minutes of 7/18/2000 <br />incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay noted that he was in <br />,, possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-89 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $160,000 for the purpose of constructing, furnishing, equipping and <br />otherwise improving an addition to the city's Police Station and preparing and improving <br />the site thereof, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay noted that he was in possession <br />of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-90 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $555,000 for the purpose of improving the city's park and <br />recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating, equipping and otherwise <br />improving the Recreation Center and constructing tennis and basketball courts at North <br />Olmsted Park, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay noted that he was in possession <br />of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-91 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-92 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $170,000 for the purpose of improving the city's Police Station by <br />replacing portions of its heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, together with <br />necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />McKay noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-92 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-93 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution determining to proceed with the submission to the electors of the question of <br />issuing bonds, in the aggregate principal amount of $10,750,000 for the purpose of <br />constructing, furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving a free public library <br />building and acquiring, preparing, landscaping and otherwise improving its site; and <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review; second by Mr. Gareau; motion passed unanimously. <br />President Saringer commented that the Mayor did have a meeting with regard to the <br />library issue.
