Council Minutes of 7/18/2000 <br />Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />`~ readings and committee review; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. <br />,;~,, <br />Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-85 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-86 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $920,000 for the purpose of improving the city's sanitary sewerage <br />system by constructing sanitary sewers, force mains and pumping facilities and by <br />constructing and reconstructing storm sewers and other storm water drainage facilities <br />and improvements to control and limit the volume of storm water entering or otherwise <br />affecting the sanitary sewerage system, in each case together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay <br />noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. <br />Miller; motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Miller; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-86 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-87 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $1,010,000 for the purpose of improving the city's park and <br />recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating and otherwise improving <br />the Recreation Center, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay noted that he was in <br />possession of the Fiscal Officer's Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion <br />passed unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-87 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $300,000 for the purpose of remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating <br />and otherwise improving the city's Springvale Golf Course and Ballroom facility, and <br />providing parking and other related site improvements therefor, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. McKay noted that he was in possession of the Fiscal Officer's <br />Certificate. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Mr. McKay <br />moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2000-88 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $260,000 for the purpose of improving the city administration <br />complex by renovating, remodeling, rehabilitating, furnishing, equipping and otherwise <br />improving the Town Hall included therein and improving the site thereof by removing <br />and replacing underground storage tanks and otherwise modifying fuel storage facilities <br />,,, and equipment, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work <br />14 <br />...
