MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ~.~ ,, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MONDAY, MAY 8, 2000 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Clerk of Council Seman Absent: Council Member Kasler Council President Saringer called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. REPORT Mr. McKay, chairperson of the Finance Committee: 1) The Finance and Recreation Committees met jointly on May 8. Present were committee members O'Grady, McKay, Limpert and Miller and Council President Saringer. The note ordinances for the 2000 capital improvements, Ordinances 2000-44, 2000-45, 2000-46 and 2000-47, were discussed. The committee recommended approval of the ordinances. LEGISLATION Ordinance No. 2000-44 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $1,325,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving certain designated streets in the city by grading, draining, widening, reconstructing the pavement base, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and reconstructing curbs, gutters, catch basins, storm sewers, sidewalks and driveway approaches and installing traffic signs and signalization, street lighting and related underground wiring, where necessary, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-44 adopted. Ordinance No. 2000-45 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $555,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving the city's park and recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, rehabilitating, equipping and otherwise improving the Recreation Center and constructing tennis and basketball courts at North Olmsted Park. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-45 adopted. .~..
