MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~.~ <br />,, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MONDAY, MAY 8, 2000 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Limpert, McKay, <br />Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Clerk of Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Kasler <br />Council President Saringer called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />REPORT <br />Mr. McKay, chairperson of the Finance Committee: 1) The Finance and Recreation <br />Committees met jointly on May 8. Present were committee members O'Grady, McKay, <br />Limpert and Miller and Council President Saringer. The note ordinances for the 2000 <br />capital improvements, Ordinances 2000-44, 2000-45, 2000-46 and 2000-47, were <br />discussed. The committee recommended approval of the ordinances. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2000-44 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $1,325,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving <br />certain designated streets in the city by grading, draining, widening, reconstructing the <br />pavement base, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and <br />reconstructing curbs, gutters, catch basins, storm sewers, sidewalks and driveway <br />approaches and installing traffic signs and signalization, street lighting and related <br />underground wiring, where necessary, in each case together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by <br />Mr. Limpert; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-44 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-45 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $555,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of <br />improving the city's park and recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, <br />rehabilitating, equipping and otherwise improving the Recreation Center and constructing <br />tennis and basketball courts at North Olmsted Park. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. O'Grady; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-45 adopted. <br />.~.. <br /> <br />
