Council Minutes of 5/2/2000 <br />Ordinance No. 2000-24 introduced by Mr. Gareau was given its second reading. An <br />r,, <br />ordinance creating new Chapter 111 of the Administrative Code of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "City Contracts," in order to provide additional regulations and <br />standards regarding city contracts, and declaring an emergency, as twice amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-34 introduced by Mayor Musial and Mr. O'Grady was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance amending Section 171.06 of Chapter 171 of the <br />Administrative Code, entitled "Community Reinvestment," in order to require that <br />entities who receive tax abatement for commercial or industrial projects agree to make a <br />contribution to a bona fide apprenticeship program as amended. <br />Resolution No. 2000-35 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Musial was given <br />its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise <br />for bids for vehicle lift improvements at the North Olmsted Service garage as detailed in <br />the plans and specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-37 introduced by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mayor Musial was given <br />its second reading. An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance Number 94-148, <br />establishing non-resident fees and charges for the rendering of emergency medical <br />service and ambulance transportation by the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-3 8 introduced by Mr. McKay on behalf of Mayor Musial was given <br />its second reading. An ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of <br />North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Great Lakes Billing Associates, Inc., to <br />provide billing and collection services for the non-resident charges for rendering <br />emergency medical services and ambulance transportation by the City of North Olmsted, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-44 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $1,325,000 in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving <br />certain designated streets in the city by grading, draining, widening, reconstructing the <br />pavement base, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and <br />reconstructing curbs, gutters, catch basins, storm sewers, sidewalks and driveway <br />approaches and installing traffic signs and signalization, street lighting and related <br />underground wiring, where necessary, in each case together with the necessary <br />appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-45 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $555,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of <br />improving the city's park and recreational facilities by remodeling, renovating, <br />rehabilitating, equipping and otherwise improving the Recreation Center and constructing <br />tennis and basketball courts at North Olmsted Park.. <br />14 <br />
