Council Minutes of 5/2/2000 <br />,~ Ordinance No. 2000-46 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />~,,~ ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $170,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of <br />improving the city's Police Station by replacing portions of its heating, ventilation and air <br />conditioning system, together with necessary appurtenances and work incidental thereto. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-47 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate principal <br />amount of $50,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of improving <br />existing city storm sewers and storm water drainage facilities. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-39 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady on <br />behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. An emergency ordinance authorizing the <br />execution of a Linked Deposit Loan Program Agreement; authorizing the Mayor to <br />execute the Linked Deposit Loan Program Agreement and authorizing related matters. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. <br />Miller; motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Miller. Roll call: O'Grady, yes; Miller, yes; Gareau, yes; Kasler, yes; Limpert, yes, with <br />comment. "Thanks everyone for supporting us in our efforts on this." Roll call continued: <br />McKay, yes; Nashar, yes. Motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2000-39 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-40 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement <br />with Timothy J. Norris & Associates to provide engineering services for the design of <br />replacement lighting for Ball Diamond No. 2 at North Olmsted Park and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-41 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement <br />with Chagrin Valley Engineering, Ltd. to provide engineering services for the design of <br />site improvements at North Olmsted Park including tennis courts, basketball courts, <br />shuffleboard courts, lighting, water lines, driveway and parking lot, and walking path <br />improvements and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2000-42 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution in support of May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. Mr. O'Grady moved to <br />suspend the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Limpert; <br />motion passed unanimously. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. Limpert; <br />motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2000-42 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2000-43 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. A <br />resolution proclaiming April 28, 2000 Arbor Day in the City of North Olmsted and <br />celebrating the Award of Tree City USA. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Limpert; motion passed <br />unanimously.
