REPORTS
President Saringer reported on behalf of Mayor Musial: 1) Under the coordination of
Mary Creadon, the census volunteers have completed their telephone calls to the
residents in the City of North Olmsted to remind them to complete and return their census
2000 form by April 17. We stressed that the Census 2000 will affect their future and that
the goal for the City of North Olmsted was to have an accurate count. The Census 2000
does have a website available for tracking the initial response rate. As of April 11, the
City of North Olmsted's response rate was 78%. The follow-up on the Census 2000 now
rests in the hands of the Census Bureau. The Lorain County census office, which has
jurisdiction of our city, will follow through with door-to-door contact to the residents that
have not responded and will assist those who may have questions. Thank you to the
census volunteers for their time and effort in support of having an accurate count for the
Census 2000 in North Olmsted.
2) A Mother's Day brunch will be held at Springvale, May 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Reservations are required for the buffet style menu. Cost is $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for
seniors, $12.95 for children 8 to 12, and $6.95 for children 4 to 7. It's a great way to treat
your mother and give her a break from cooking. Enjoy.
3) Mayor Musial is in receipt of a letter with regard to the bike path: "Dear Mayor
Musial, we are writing this letter to you in the hopes that a possible solution can be
found. The subject we are referring to is our bike path. For years, past administrations
have talked about but never pursued connecting the current bike path which runs along
480 ftom Great Northern Blvd. to Stearns Road into the Metroparks bike path. This
