Council Minutes of 4/18/2000 <br />LEGISLATION <br />.~,;,; Ordinance No. 2000-12 introduced by Mayor Musial and the entire Council was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance creating new and revised Chapter 1163 of the Zoning <br />Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "Signs," as twice amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-18 introduced by Mr. Gareau was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance vacating a portion of Northern Avenue located in the City of North Olmsted, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-23 introduced by Mr. Gareau and Mr. Nashar was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance creating new Chapter 719 of the Business Regulation Code of the <br />City of North Olmsted, entitled "Home and Garage Sales," for the purpose of regulating <br />garage sales, and other similar sales in residential neighborhoods, and declaring an <br />emergency, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-31 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to provide for <br />the addition of the words "Between the Hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m." on the existing sign <br />at the intersection of Great Northern Boulevard and Lorain Road, which prohibits right <br />turns on red from Great Northern Boulevard onto Lorain Road, so as to prohibit such <br />right turns on red only during the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-32 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the mayor to enter into a contract for the purchase of real property <br />on the north side of Bradley Road to be used for municipal purposes as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-33 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing health care benefits for non-bargaining employees of the City of <br />North Olmsted and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-34 introduced by Mayor Musial and Mr. O'Grady was given its <br />second reading. An ordinance amending Section 171.06 of Chapter 171 of the <br />Administrative Code, entitled "Community Reinvestment," in order to require that <br />entities who receive tax abatement for commercial or industrial projects agree to make a <br />contribution to a bona fide apprenticeship program. <br />Resolution No. 2000-35 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay on <br />behalf of Mayor Musial. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for vehicle lift improvements at the North Olmsted Service Garage as <br />detailed in the plans and specifications on file and authorizing the Mayor to contract for <br />the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2000-36 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. O'Grady on <br />behalf of Mayor Musial and the entire Council. A resolution urging the U. S. Senate and <br />the full U. S.
