MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~""" OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 15, 2000 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of December 29, 1999 were approved as <br />written. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of January 4, 2000 were approved as written. <br />President Saringer made the following announcements: <br />• A public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. on February 29 for Ordinance 99-106. <br />• A public hearing will be held at 7:15 p.m. on February 29 for Ordinance 99-82. <br />• A public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. on February 29 for Ordinance 99-109. <br />• Due to the primary election on Tuesday, March 7, the next Council meeting will be <br />held on Wednesday, March 8. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The Charter Review Commission is in the process of being <br />formulated. All members of Council and the public are invited to submit items to him for <br />review by the commission. <br />2) Representatives of the construction unions in Cuyahoga County will make a <br />presentation at 7 p.m. on February 22 in Old Town Hall. <br />Law Director Gareau: 1) He and Jim Dubelko have met with insurance counsel with <br />respect to the Moran case. Probably within the next week, insurance counsel will be <br />conducting interviews with various city officials as the time for discovery is drawing near <br />for the August trial date relative to that case. <br />2) The decision by Judge Gravens to declare our urban forest ordinance unconstitutional <br />was reversed by the Eighth Appellate District. <br /> <br />
