Council Minutes 1/18/2000
property. There is no intent to purchase the property at this particular point in time. Mrs.
`~`- Hadsell noted that an appraisal done today would have little value five or more years in
the future as the value of the property will change. Mrs. Kasler said she could understand
why the ladies were upset about this, and she wanted them to understand that Council
was not aware this was being discussed, which is a problem. Mr, Bohlmann said he did
not feel that was a problem. Mrs. Kasler responded that she considers it a problem when
Council has to respond to a resident without knowing about a situation. Mr. Bohlmann
said in order to plan for the future and have the ability of the city to get the right of first
approval, the appraisals had to be done now. Everyone understands that the city does not
have the money to buy all that property at this time. But he does not think there is
anything wrong with getting the appraisals. President Saringer again noted that Council
was not aware that this was being done. She thanked the ladies for coming to the
meeting.
LEGISLATION
Resolution No. 2000-3 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading.
