<br />Verna Wince, 4181 Laurell Lane, spoke about her concerns regarding Springvale. She
<br />brought along a newspaper article from last January that read, "Springvale Jumping Its
<br />Hurdles." Mrs. Wince wondered what had been accomplished as Sunday dancing has
<br />been cut out, dancing schedules are not available and she feels the service "is not there"
<br />since Bill Ball was let go. She wants to know where her tax money is going. Safety
<br />Director Jenkins answered Mrs. Wince by explaining that the city has received a $96,000
<br />Community Development Block Grant to pave the parking lot and to install ADA
<br />restrooms this year. Also, there are no tax dollars going to Springvale. It is a self-
<br />supporting facility, and the revenues are used to pay back the debt incurred for purchase.
<br />As to Mrs. Winca's other concerns, he suggested that they sit down and have a talk with
<br />the facility manager, Marty Young.
<br />Ann Scardina, 24361 Beech Lane, expressed concerns about the programs offered and the
<br />facility of the Recreation Center. Mrs. Scardina has investigated nearby communities
<br />(Rocky River and Westlake), and they seem to offer more programs and have better
<br />equipment and facilities. She is especially concerned because an aerobics class which
