Council Minutes of 12/3/2001 <br />Ordinance No. 2001-154 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />'~ An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to errter into a contract for the purchase of a portion <br />of the property located at 3839 Claque Road, North Olmsted, Ohio (Permanent Parcel <br />Nos. 237-11-25 and 237-11-60) for the purpose of widening Claque Road, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Nashar and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-154 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-155 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to etrter into a contract for the purchase of a portion <br />of the property located at the vacant lot on Claque Road immediately to the south of the <br />CVS store at 23345 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio (Permanent Parcel No. 237-9-5) <br />for the purpose of widening Claque Road, and declaring an emergency. Councilman <br />O'Grady moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman O'Grady <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-155 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-156 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance declaring the necessity and intention of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, to <br />appropriate two vacant parcels of real property on or near relocated 252 just south of the <br />Interstate-480 east bound traffic entrance ramp, identified as Permanent Parcel Nos. 236- <br />11-017 and 236-12-004, for the purpose of constructing a public roadway, and declaring <br />an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McKay moved for adoption. Ordinance No. 2001-156 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman Miller said he would like to bring three points to the attention of City <br />Council and the Mayor: <br />• At the last Council meeting, the issue of the STOP program and its passible <br />involvemem or use during night time hours at the intersection of Brookpark extension <br />and Dover Center was brought up. The Police Chief has checked the records and none <br />of the tickets issued in that area were issued after dark. <br />• A resident has asked that the sign at the ball diamond named after Mr. Grady be re- <br />installed. They anticipate relatives will be in from out of town over the Christmas <br />holidays and they plan to visit the field. This is a special time for the family, and they <br />would appreciate it if the sign could be replaced. <br />• ODOT should be contacted about removing the sign on I-480 westbound (near <br />Stearns Road) that indicates there is a BP station nearby.
