MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2001 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Dailey, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at S p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />President Saringer said she wished to congratulate all the victors in yesterday's election. <br />There is no shame in losing, but there is if you don't try. All the candidates fought a hard <br />campaign. Now we must accept the voters' decision and get back to the business at hand <br />and work together for the residents of our city. <br />President Saringer announced that Resolutions 2001-141 and 2001-144 would be passed <br />under suspension of the n~les. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of September 30, 2001 were approved as <br />written. The minutes of the Council meeting of October 2, 2001 were approved as <br />written. <br />~tEPORTS <br />Mayor Musial said he had no official report, but he wanted to ditto President of Council <br />Saringer's commerns in toto. She has captured the essence of the election, and the <br />essence of the members of Council coming together one with the administration working <br />together for the benefit of the goodwill and also for the best interests of the City of North <br />Olmsted. He commends her for those remarks. President Saringer thanked the Mayor. <br />Law Director Gareau: 1) Presidern Saringer announced that Ordinance 2001-144 would <br />be passed under suspension of the rule, and he would like to have an executive session <br />relative to the settlement of that lawsuit. As everyone will recall, an action was filed in <br />the Probate Court to appropriate that property because an agreement could not be <br />reached. As of just two days ago, he finally reached an agreement. <br />2} The administration is meeting tomorrow with the Regional Transit Authority <br />regarding poternial litigation with respect to the RTA Park-n-Ride. He would also like to <br />discuss that issue in executive session. <br />
