Council Minutes of 11!7/2001 <br />Resolution No. 2001-143 was inrtroduced and placed on fast reading by Councilman <br />McKay. A resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget <br />Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County <br />Auditor. <br />Resolution No. 2001-144 was introduced and placed on fast reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter irno a cornract for the purchase of property <br />located at 27447-27481 Lorain Road, North Olmsted, Ohio for the purpose of carrying <br />out the intent of the voters of the City of North Olmsted relative to the construction of a <br />new library and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of <br />the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Mr. Bill Kelley, 4161 Canterbury Road, <br />asked for the total purchase cost of the properties. Law Director Gateau said the cost for <br />the C & C Realty property was $475,000. Finance Director Copfer said the cost of <br />property through the end of September was $2,146,342, to which the $475,000 should be <br />added. This amount includes the four homes which were purchased. Finance Director <br />Copfer said she would give Mr. Kelley an exact list after the meeting. Councilman <br />Limpert asked if the amount was within the budget for land acquisition. Mayor Musial <br />said yes, it was under budget. Law Director Gateau noted that approximately $3 million <br />had been projected. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-144 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEā~US <br />President Saringer assigned legislation to committees: Finance Committee, 2001-132, <br />2001-133, 2001-134, 2001-135, 2001-136, 2001-138, 2001-139, 2001-142, 2001-143; <br />Streets & Drainage Committee, 2001-137; Public Safety Committee, 2001-140. <br />Councilman O'Grady scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for Tuesday, <br />November 13, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2001-140. The Safety Director and the <br />Traffic Engineer are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee meeting immediately <br />following the Public Safety meeting on November 13 to discuss the gabion basket <br />resolution and Ordinance 2001-137. The Service Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for November 13 <br />immediately following the Streets & Drainage Committee meeting. The Service Director <br />and Finance Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled a Recreation Committee meeting immediately following <br />the Finance Committee meeting on November 13 to discuss the status of Springvale <br />improvements. The Safety Director and Brian Gorris are asked to attend and anyone <br />from the golf course that the Safety Director feels should attend.
