Council Minutes of 10/Z/2001 <br />Service Director Bohlmann said that the county is going to re-do Stearns Road from <br />Cook Road. They're going to straighten the intersection out in the Township and proceed <br />with a new road all the way up to the south side of the I 480 ramp and on the north side to <br />where new Stearns Road someday is going to attach to that. Traffic signalization will be <br />included in this project that will be done in 2002 or 2003. <br />President Saringer asked that signs be installed on the bike path informing people who <br />walk their dogs there that they must clean up after the animals. Service Director <br />Bohlmann said the signs could be put up, and Safety Director Jenkins said he believed the <br />Police bike patrol does patrol the bike path. <br />Tom Hreha, 6418 Swrey Drive, said he had recently spoken to a member of the bike <br />patrol and was asswed that they do patrol the bike path. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 2001-102 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement <br />with Traff--Pro Consultants, Inc, to provide design services for the Dover Center Road <br />and Driscoll I,ane/Cottonwood Trail intersection traffic signal system and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption; second by Councilman O'Grady. <br />Roll call: Limpert, yes; O'Grady, yes; Nashar, yes; Miller, no; McKay, yes; Kasler, yes; <br />Dailey, yes. The morion passed with six yeas and one nay. Ordinance No. 2001-102 <br />adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2001-104 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for construction <br />and installation of ADA toilet room facilities and other improvements at the North <br />Olmsted Recreation Center as detailed in the plans and specifications on file and <br />authorizing the Mayor to contract for the same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman McKay moved for adoption; second by Councilman O'Grady; motion <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-104 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-107 imroduced by Councilman Nashar on behalf of himself and <br />Councilman Miller was given its third reading. An ordinance creating new Chapter 959 <br />of the Public Services Code, errtitled "Sale of Surplus Real Property," in order to require <br />that city residents, whose properties abut city-owned real property, receive prior <br />notification of the city's interrt to sell surplus real property, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Nashar moved for adoption; second by Councilman Miller; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 2001-107 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-85 introduced by Councilman Limpert on behalf of himself and <br />Councilman McKay was given its second reading. An ordinance approving the request to <br />transfer the cable television franchise of Ameritech New Media to WideOpenWest and <br />declaring an emergency, as amended.
