n~ 1VIIlVUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCII, <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JTTLY 17, 2001 <br />Present: President of Council Saringer, Council Members Dailey, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady. <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Assistant Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8:15 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance as led by Eagle Scout Christopher Whitney. <br />President Saringer announced that, since Council would be on vacation the month of <br />August, the following legislation would be passed under suspension of the rules: <br />Ordinance Nos. 2001-82, 2001-83, 2001-86, 2001-87, 2001-89; Resolution Nos. 2001-84, <br />2001-85, 2001-91, 2001-92, 2001-93, 2001-94, 2001-95, 2001-96. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of July 3, 2001 were approved as written. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2001-95 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Christoper Adam Whitney of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. <br />Councilman McKay moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings and committee <br />review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and unanimously passed. <br />Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Nashar and unanimously passed. Resolution No. 2001-95 adopted. President Saringer <br />asked Christopher to come forward and she read the resolution in its entirety. <br />Christopher was congratulated by Council members, the administration and the audience. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The July Fourth celebration, bike parade and picnic, was a great <br />success. He would like to thank the Recreation Department employees, Council <br />members and administration members who participated and helped to make the event a <br />success. <br />2) A swearing-in ceremony for two new fire fighters, David Stein and Jim Penner, will be <br />held at 9 a.m. on Monday, July 23. <br />I <br />
