Council Minutes of 7/3/2001 <br />Ordinance No. 2001-88 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />`- behalf of himself and Councilman McKay. An ordinance amending Section 111.01 of <br />the Administrative Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled "City Contracts," in order <br />to exempt all rentals of ice time at the Recreation Complex from the regulations <br />otherwise applicable to city contracts, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second <br />by Councilman Limpert. The motion passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved <br />for adoption; second by Councilman Limpert. Roll call: McKay, yes; Limpert, yes; <br />Miller, yes, with comment that this was discussed in caucus. Roll call continued: <br />O'Grady, yes; Dailey, yes; Nashaz, yes; Kasler, yes. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-88 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2001-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />O'Grady on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. An ordinance creating new <br />Section 557.06 of the General Offenses Code of the City of North Olmsted, entitled <br />"Possession and Use of Cigazettes and Other Tobacco Products by Minors Prohibited," in <br />order to locally prohibit such conduct by minors in accordance with recently enacted <br />Senate Bi11218, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Saringer assigned Ordinance 2001-82 to the Legislative Committee; 2001-83 <br />and 2001-84 to the Finance Committee; 2001-86, 2001-87 and 2001-89 to the Public <br />Safety Committee. <br />Councilman O'Grady scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for 6 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, July 10, to discuss Ordinances 2001-86, 2001-87 and 2001-89. The Safety <br />Director, the Traffic Engineer and the Assistarn Human Resources Director aze asked to <br />attend. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for 7:30 p.m. on July 10 to <br />discuss Ordinance 2001-83, 2001-84. The Finance Director and the Safety Director aze <br />asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Legislative Committee meeting immediately <br />following the Public Safety Committee on July 10 to discuss Ordinance 2001-82.
