Council Minutes of 6/5/2001 <br />Ordinance No. 2001-77 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />'~~• ordinance creating a new Section 915.20 of the Streets, Utilities and Public Services <br />Code, in order to provide authorized payment methods regarding the collection of <br />nonbilled sewer user charges, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />President Saringer made the following committee assignments: Legislative Committee, <br />2001-72, 2001-74 and 2001-76; Finance Committee, 2001-73, 2001-75 and 2001-77. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled a Finance Committee following the BZD Committee <br />meeting on June 18. The Finance Director and Service Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Nashar scheduled two BZD Committee meetings. The first will be held at <br />6:30 p.m. on June 12. On the agenda will be the Wal-Mart proposal and other Plamiing <br />Commission items. The City Engineer and Building Commissioner are asked to attend. <br />The second BZD meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on June 18 to discuss the TOPS' <br />proposal. The City Engineer, Building Commissioner and Traffic Engineer are asked to <br />attend. <br />Mr. Nashar commented that the vohmteer gun turn-in program held May 19 was a <br />success. He thanked the North Olmsted Police Department for their fine cooperation. He <br />also thanked Giant Eagle, Great Northern Dodge, Westlife, Tony's Barber Shop, <br />Geppetto's and Councilman Paul Miller. Regardless of the number of guns collected- <br />this year it was a little less than ten-it was still a worthwhile project. <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Legislative and Long-Range Planning Committee <br />meeting following the Finance Committee meeting on June 18 to discuss Resolution <br />2001-72, Resolution 2001-76, Ordinance 2001-74 and Ordinance 2001-05. Ordinance <br />2001-OS was held in committee and needs to be re-discussed after obtaining further <br />information from the administration. The Mayor and Service Director are asked to <br />attend. <br />President Saringer reminded everyone that the spaghetti dinner and silent auction to <br />benefit Amber Jevcak Day would be held at Springvale from 5 p.m, to 9 p.m on Sunday, <br />June 17. Celebrities, including Cleveland Browns players, will be in attendance. <br />Mrs. Kasler noted that the Legislative Committee meeting to discuss ward redistricting <br />would be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 11. <br />With the agenda being cos <br />Co cil, President S er <br />leted and there being no further business to come before <br />L.
