MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />~~,~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 1, 2001 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Dailey, Kesler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Semen <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8:06 p.m, in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the meeting of April 17, 2001 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special meeting of Apri123, 2001 were approved as written. <br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance 2001-68 would be passed under suspension <br />of the rules. <br />Councilman Nashar moved that the agenda be amended to remove Ordinance 2000-13 <br />which will be placed back into committee. The motion was seconded by Council Miller. <br />Roll call: Nashar, yes; Miller, yes; Limpert, yes; Kesler, yes; O'Grady, no; Dailey, no; <br />McKay, yes. The motion passed with five yeas and two nays. <br />REPORTS <br />President Saringer: 1) A public hearing was held on Monday, Apri123, with regard to <br />Ordinance 2000-13. This legislation provides for an amendment to the Zone Map in <br />order to supplementally zone certain parcels of real property into the Wireless <br />Telecommunications Facilities Overlay District. The legislation is being placed back into <br />committee for further study. <br />Mayor Musial: 1) Along with the Law Director, Finance Director, Service Director and <br />City Engineer, he attended a meeting sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Library dealing <br />with the subject of whether a construction manager would be beneficial during the <br />construction of the new library. It was an interesting meeting and has given all a lot of <br />"food for thought." <br />2) An Arbor Day tree planting ceremony was held on Monday, April 30, in front of City <br />Hall. A number of City Hall employees participated by planting eight trees in front of the <br />building. <br />3) The skatepark dedication will take place on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m until Noon. <br />
