MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ~~,~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED MAY 1, 2001 Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Dailey, Kesler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Semen Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8:06 p.m, in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The minutes of the meeting of April 17, 2001 were approved as written. The minutes of the special meeting of Apri123, 2001 were approved as written. President Saringer announced that Ordinance 2001-68 would be passed under suspension of the rules. Councilman Nashar moved that the agenda be amended to remove Ordinance 2000-13 which will be placed back into committee. The motion was seconded by Council Miller. Roll call: Nashar, yes; Miller, yes; Limpert, yes; Kesler, yes; O'Grady, no; Dailey, no; McKay, yes. The motion passed with five yeas and two nays. REPORTS President Saringer: 1) A public hearing was held on Monday, Apri123, with regard to Ordinance 2000-13. This legislation provides for an amendment to the Zone Map in order to supplementally zone certain parcels of real property into the Wireless Telecommunications Facilities Overlay District. The legislation is being placed back into committee for further study. Mayor Musial: 1) Along with the Law Director, Finance Director, Service Director and City Engineer, he attended a meeting sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Library dealing with the subject of whether a construction manager would be beneficial during the construction of the new library. It was an interesting meeting and has given all a lot of "food for thought." 2) An Arbor Day tree planting ceremony was held on Monday, April 30, in front of City Hall. A number of City Hall employees participated by planting eight trees in front of the building. 3) The skatepark dedication will take place on Saturday, May 12, from 9 a.m until Noon.
