There are two bids that are being
evaluated by the committee to ascertain which one, or any of them, will be recommended
for approval. Depending upon which one is approved, the letters will be sent out to the
residents of North Olmsted giving them an opportunity to opt out and/or accept the
proposed negotiated price per kilowatt hour. Hopefully the letters will be out to the
residents by the end of January or immediately thereafter. The prices of electricity in our
part of the country will be fixed for about five years, so people should not really expect to
see a substantial savings on their electric bill.
2) On a personal note, he is proud to announce that his daughter Lisa was graduated cum
laude from the Thomas Cooley Law School at Michigan State.
Law Director Gareau: 1) The Law Department is in the process of preparing a brief in an
arbitration case dealing with an issue of overtime for the dispatchers.
2) The choice for the Community Development Block Grant fund expenditures for this
next year was the acquisition of the Pine Tree Beverage.
