' Council Minutes of 12/17/2002 <br />Resolution No. 2002-201 introduced by Councilman McKay was given its second <br />reading. A resolution directing the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 2003, all money due and owing said city from any <br />collection source. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-201 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2002-202 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Nashar. A resolution urging the Ohio General Assembly to adopt House Bills 280 and <br />281 so as to establish astate-wide ban on the use of hand-held cellular telephones while <br />driving motor vehicles on Ohio's roads and highways, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2002-203 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Unitech Parts Company <br />for the purpose of purchasing a wiring diagram for the elevator located at the Police <br />Department, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2002-204 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor of North Olmsted to enter into atwo-year contract <br />with Union Eye Care Center, Inc., to provide eye care and vision services to city <br />employees in connection with the city's self-insured health care program for city <br />employees, and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of <br />the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2002-204 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2002-205 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing and directing the Mayor for and on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted to enter into a contract with the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging to <br />accept funds from said agency for the city's programs under the Title III of the Older <br />Americans Act of 1965 (42 USC 35) which provides funding for nutrition site programs <br />and partial funding for supplemental programs thereunder and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar. Roll call: Gareau, yes; Nashar, yes; Miller, yes, with a thank you to <br />Mr. Copeland and others who were involved in this very worthwhile project. We are <br />glad to have the funds. Roll calf continued: McKay, yes; Limpert, yes; Kasler, yes; <br />Dailey, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-205 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2002-206 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a contract <br />with and retain the services of a consulting engineer, pending the appointment of a new <br />City Engineer, and declaring an emergency. <br />22 <br />;~K:.:,. <br />
