The Mayor said there is latitude there from the point of view that <br />he doesn't have any control over the salaries, for example, of the union oi~icials, the <br />Fire Chief. Mrs. Kasler said she was talking about appointed directors. The Mayor <br />said he would have to defer to legal counsel on that. He's not really sure. Mrs. <br />Kasler asked the Mayor if he decided the salaries that were going to be paid to the <br />newly appointed directors. The Mayor said he did. Mrs. Kasler said that answered <br />the question. <br />~G><s~TTOly <br />Resolution No. 2002-138 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to make emergency upgrades to one underground <br />storage tank at the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line garage, and two underground <br />storage tanks at the Service Garage, without public bidding, and declaring an emergency. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Limpert and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-138 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-145 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $200,000 of notes, in anticipation of the <br />issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring a fire pumper and other related fire apparatus <br />and equipment; and declaring an emergency. Councilman McKay moved far adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Ordinance <br />No. 2002-145 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2002-146 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into a <br />maintenance agreement with Ohio Time Corporation regarding the Infotronics <br />Attendance System and Software, at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and declaring an <br />emergency. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-146 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-140 introduced by Councilwoman Kasler was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance amending Section 161.08 of the Administrative Code, entitled <br />"Military Leave Benefits," in order to extend the time period, during which permanent <br />city employees called up to military duty pursuant to executive order of the President or <br />Act of Congress are entitled to continue to receive base pay differential and health care <br />insurance benefits, from one (1) year to a maximum of five (5} years, and declaring an <br />emergency as amended. <br />Resolution No. 2002-148 introduced by Mayor Musial and the entire Council was given <br />its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with the <br />Cuyahoga County General Health District for the year 2003. Councilwoman Kasler <br />moved for suspension of the rule requiring three readings and noted that the resolution <br />has been heard in committee.
