MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 17, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council 5eman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />^ Ordinances 2002-134 and 2002-137 will be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />^ Public hearings will be held on Monday, September 30, at 7 p.rn. for Ordinance <br />2p02-118 and at 7:15 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-119. <br />^ Public hearings will be held on Tuesday, October 1, at 7 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-80 <br />and at 7:15 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-81. <br />^ A special meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at 8 p.m. for <br />passage of Resolution 2002-144. <br />The City Council meeting minutes of August 20, 2002 were approved as written. <br />PORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) A burn of two of the homes on Butternut Ridge Road (on the new <br />library site) will be scheduled for the first part of next week to be conducted by and <br />supervised by the Fire Department. There will not be a bum on the third home in order to <br />preserve the sandstone foundation as per the recommendation of the Landmarks <br />Commission. <br />2) The Fire Department put on an excellent memorial with regards to the recognition and <br />remembrance of September 11. It was a very moving and very, very heartrending <br />experience. He also attended a memorial at Christ the King Church which was also a <br />moving ceremony. <br />3) The administration is continuing to work on the budget for next yeaz. He received a <br />memorandum from Mr. Nashaz requesting that the budget be provided to City Council by <br />December 1. They will try to meet that goal as closely as possible. <br />4) He is continuing to interview individuals for the Service Director position. Ten <br />individuals have been interviewed so faz, and there are a few more interviews to be <br />completed. <br /> <br />
