MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SEPTEMBER 17, 2002 Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council 5eman President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. President O'Grady made the following announcements: ^ Ordinances 2002-134 and 2002-137 will be passed under suspension of the rules. ^ Public hearings will be held on Monday, September 30, at 7 p.rn. for Ordinance 2p02-118 and at 7:15 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-119. ^ Public hearings will be held on Tuesday, October 1, at 7 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-80 and at 7:15 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-81. ^ A special meeting of Council will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at 8 p.m. for passage of Resolution 2002-144. The City Council meeting minutes of August 20, 2002 were approved as written. PORTS Mayor Musial: 1) A burn of two of the homes on Butternut Ridge Road (on the new library site) will be scheduled for the first part of next week to be conducted by and supervised by the Fire Department. There will not be a bum on the third home in order to preserve the sandstone foundation as per the recommendation of the Landmarks Commission. 2) The Fire Department put on an excellent memorial with regards to the recognition and remembrance of September 11. It was a very moving and very, very heartrending experience. He also attended a memorial at Christ the King Church which was also a moving ceremony. 3) The administration is continuing to work on the budget for next yeaz. He received a memorandum from Mr. Nashaz requesting that the budget be provided to City Council by December 1. They will try to meet that goal as closely as possible. 4) He is continuing to interview individuals for the Service Director position. Ten individuals have been interviewed so faz, and there are a few more interviews to be completed.
