MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 3, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Cemer Road, North Olmsted, Ohio <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />^ Ordinance 2002-104, Ordinance 2002-13 5 and Resolution 2002-123 will be passed <br />under suspension of the rules <br />^ Two public hearings will be held on Monday, September 30. The first will be held at <br />7 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-118, and the second at ?:15 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-119. <br />^ Two public hearings will be held on Tuesday, October 1. The first will be held at <br />7 p.m. with regard to Ordinance 2002-80, and the second for Ordinance 2002-81 will <br />be held at 7:15 p.m. <br />^ On September 10, 6:30 p.m., there will be aCommittee-of--the-Whole meeting to <br />discuss the taping of caucus•and committee meetings. <br />RE_ <br />Mayor Musial: 1) Thank you to all of the city personnel who participated in and helped <br />to promote Homecoming this year. In particular, Chris Allegro is to be commended far <br />her attention and organization. It turned out to be a very enjoyable event and helped <br />North Olmsted retain the spirit of volunteerism. <br />2) ODOT has informed the city that Schloss Paving wilt begin paving Columbia Road, <br />north of Lorain Road, on Wednesday, September 4. With good weather, the project <br />should be complete by the end of the day on Friday, September 6. <br />3) He attended the Council of Governments (COG) meeting, on August 28. The issue of <br />the shooting range is still being discussed. Details aze not yet forthcoming with regazd to <br />potential costs and the city's share in those expenses. When that information is available, <br />he will advise City Council. Also, discussed at that meeting was the sharing of a new tub <br />grinder, which is a machine that chips brush, twigs and parts of trees for landscaping <br />purposes. North Olmsted was not originally part of that cooperative group but is looking <br />at the possibility of joining that effort. As information becomes available, he will advise <br />City Council. <br />4) Along with President of Council O'Grady, he attended a luncheon at the City Club of <br />Cleveland. The Labor Day address was given by Mr. Terrence O'Sullivan, president of <br /> <br />
