<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />-~-~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />AUGUST 6, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:04 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance led by Eagle Scout Thomas Poole. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of June 18, 2002 were approved as written. <br />Councilman McKay moved to amend the agenda to include Resolution No. 2002-122 on <br />first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and unanimously <br />approved. <br />President O'Grady noted that the following pieces of legislation would be passed under <br />suspension of the rules: Resolutions 2002-107, 2002-113, and 2002-133; Ordinance <br />2002-114. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2002-107 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Limpert on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Thomas Scott Poole of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2002-107 adopted. <br />Thomas and his parents were asked to come forward. The resolution was read in its <br />entirety and Thomas was congratulated by Council, the administration and all present. <br />Thomas was presented with a copy of the Resolution. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The Fourth of July brought together over 500 residents for the annual <br />picnic in North Olmsted Park. The bike parade attracted around 200 entries, and the <br /> <br />
