MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />' OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 18, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Cauncil O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Cerrter Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Councilman Miller made a motion to amend the agenda to include Ordinance <br />No. 2002-106 on first reading. The motion was second by Councilman Nashar and <br />passed unanimously. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of June 4, 2002 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady introduced Mrs. Aileen Novak, a representative of -the Daughters of <br />the American Revolution. Mrs. Novak came forward and presented the city with a large <br />American flag on behalf- of the' Americanism Committee of the Daughters of the <br />American Revolution. The flag was accepted by President O'Grady and Mrs. Novak was <br />thanked by all Council Members and the administration. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />^ Council will be on vacation for the month of July. <br />^ Ordinances 2002-42, 2002-93, 2002-95, 2002-96, 2002-97, 2002-98, 2002-101, <br />2002-84 and 2002-89 will be passed under suspension of the rules this evening. <br />^ A special meeting of the Committee-of-the-Whole will be held on June 19 at 7 p.m. <br />to discuss the Rules of Council. <br />~ PO TS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) He and NOMBL General Manager Tom Terbrack attended the <br />GCRTA Board of Trustees meeting this morning, and the Board awarded a $1.7 million <br />construction contract for the North Olmsted Transit Center. It is anticipated that the 310- <br />car lighted Park-n-Ride lot will be available for use by November 1. The Board of <br />Trustees also passed a resolution refunding to the City of North Olmsted the monies that <br />were advanced to procure the two properties adjacent to the site where the Park-n-Ride <br />-~ will be constructed. He also mentioned to the Board of Trustees that they still have an <br />
