Council Minutes of 6/4/2002 <br />Ordinance No. 2002-89 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial on <br />~~,, , behalf of himself and the entire Council. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into an agreement amending the existing Capital Chazges Agreement between the City of <br />North Olmsted and the City of Fairview Pazk, in order to provide for the assessment of <br />additional debt service charges to the Fairview Pazk Service Area relating to loans made <br />to the City of North Olmsted for five capital improvement projects from 1992 to 1997 <br />which, in part, benefited the Fairview Park Service Area, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-90 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance creating a new Chapter 1369 of the Building Code entitled "Charges for <br />Emergency Municipal Services," and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-91 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the expenditure of seventy-two thousand dollars ($72,000) to <br />purchase the real property known as Permanent Parcel Number 236-12-004, for a portion <br />of the proposed roadway leading to the future GCRTA Park-n-Ride facility, and <br />declaring an emergency. (Mayor Musial commented the reason why this must be passed <br />under suspension is that a settlement entry must be returned to Probate Court by Friday, <br />June 7, 2002) Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three <br />readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and <br />passed unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2002-91 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-92 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the expenditure of sewer revenue funds in an amount not to exceed <br />seventy-five thousand dollars to compensate Hennie Homes, Inc., for constructing an <br />oversized sanitary sewer for the Willow Woods subdivision so to enable the city to <br />provide sanitary sewer service to the JEDD area within the Olmsted Township Service <br />Area, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for June 11 at <br />6 p.m. to discuss Ordinances 2002-85, 2002-86, 2002-87, 2002-88, an issue on the seat <br />belt ordinance, and Ordinance 2001-129. The Safety Director and the Traffic Engineer <br />(or his input on 2001-129) are asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Kasler requested that Ordinance 2002-71 be re-discussed in committee as <br />she does not have a fum grasp on what the position entails. She does not understand the <br />specific duties, whether it is part-time or full-time and other issues that were discussed at <br />the meeting. Also, some people were not present because they were attending the BZD <br />Committee meeting. President O'Grady agreed that it could be brought back into <br />committee. <br />14 <br /> <br />
