Special Council Minutes 4/30/2002 <br />Drive and Wisteria Drive. The bond interest is estimated to be 5% per year and the <br />notes at the highest amount of 4 1/2%. The committee recommended approval. <br />• Ordinance 2002-55, which provides for the issuance and sale of notes in the <br />maximum aggregate principal amourrt of $290,000, in anticipation of the issuance of <br />bonds to pay the costs for improving the municipal distribution system by relining <br />and otherwise improving waterlines, together with the necessary appurtenances and <br />work incidental thereto. This ordinance is necessary to complete the water main <br />projects along with the Community Development Block Grant funds of $105,000. <br />The streets involved are Summerland, Virginia, Macl3eth and Esther. The committee <br />recommended approval. <br />LEGTSLATIQN <br />Ordinance No. 2002-54 introduced by Councilman McKay was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of notes in a maximum aggregate <br />principal amount of $1,375,000, in anticipation of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of <br />improving certain designated streets in the city, in cooperation with the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation and otherwise, by grading, draining, widening, replacing sections of <br />pavement, preparing the surface, surfacing and resurfacing, constructing and <br />reconstructing sections of the pavemem base, curbs, gutters, catch basins, sidewalks and <br />driveway approaches and installing traffic signs, signalization and signalization systems, <br />where necessary, in each case together with the necessary appurtenances and work <br />incidental thereto. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded <br />by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to request proposals fram land <br />surveyors for a land survey for the new North Olmsted branch library; further, <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the surveyor selected in the RFP <br />process; and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2002-62 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to request proposals for geotechnical <br />engineering services for the new North Olmsted branch library; further, authorizing the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement with the firm selected in the RFP process; and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />2 <br />
