She asked that Council not wait for a <br />street tow, but drive through the neighborhood on their way home tonight. There is <br />debris, little stones and the asphalt and concrete is broken up all over, especially Kew <br />Drive, Gardenia and Andorra. Cars and trucks going down the street throw rocks back <br />because there is so much in the street. It is not safe for the kids. It's very, very <br />important that they don't get pushed aside again. Also, they have been told for several <br />years that street lights would be put in and that has not happened. <br />(The recording tape ended at tYia point. The following list of individeals who <br />spoke during audience participation is from the Clerk's notes.) <br />Ron Gore, 28065 Gardenia, spoke about street repair in the North Park Estates. <br />Vicky Hardsell, representing the Regional branch of the Cuyahoga County Library, urged <br />the passage of Ordinance 2002-38 which authorizes the Mayor to errter into an agreement <br />with Hr. R. Gray & Associates, Inc. to provide construction management services for the <br />new North Olmsted Public Library. <br />Madeline Brookshire, 5140 Hampton Road, caged the passage of Ordinance 200238 for <br />the library project. <br />Scott Mckenoan, 27922 Andorra, spoke about needed repairs to his street and other streets <br />in his development. <br />Louise Connors, 4565 Brendan Lane, expressed concern about the condition of Brendan <br />Lane and wished to know why South Canterbury was put ahead of her street and warned <br />to know what the residents could do. She asked that what is there be cleaned up and no <br />more patching be done. <br />Brian McKendry, 4599 Carsten Lane, asked if his street would receive street lighting this <br />year. Mayor Musial replied that there was no money for this year. <br />Daniel Gallagher, 6853 Chadbourne, asked for a job description for police officers and <br />asked the cost of the James Lumber property. Law Director Dubelko replied, and <br />Finance Director Copfer concurred, that the cost of the James Lumber property was <br />approximately $1,2 million. <br />Theresa Hruby, 43 52 Brendan Lane, expressed her concerns about the poor condition of <br />Brendan Lane. <br />Roy Garland, 4564 Camellia, expressed concern about the holes in the street. Also, he <br />expressed concern about the signs regulating no right turn on red being too far away for <br />motorists to read. He suggested that the fines from these citations be used for the street <br />repair fund. Finance Director Copfer said the fines were related to the STOP program, <br />14 <br /> <br />
