MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCII. <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 5, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Presidern of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Raad, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Councilman Gazeau moved to amend the agenda by removing Ordinance Nos. 2002-12 <br />and 2002-15 from third reading and placing them on second reading as amended. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of February 19, 2002 were approved as written. The <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of February 28, 2002 were approved as written. <br />Presidern O'Grady announced that Ordinances 2002-14, 2002-15, 2002-27 and <br />Resolution 2002-33 would be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />IitljP~Q~R~~ <br />Mayor Musial: 1) Joan Gency has been hired as the new Commissioner of the Data <br />Processing Department. She was formerly a systems coordinator with Valley City Steel <br />wherein she was in charge of training personnel on all softwaze and did maintenance and <br />support of all computers and computer systems from payroll to invernory control. <br />2) Last Wednesday he made his annual city government presentation to the second grade <br />class at Spruce School. <br />3) Meetings on the Crocker Road extension were held last week. The Cleveland Port <br />Authority was invited to attend for additional input and further explorations of ideas to <br />enable North Olmsted to be able to make its $4 million cornribution to the extension. <br />4) Last Monday he made a presentation to the Friends of the Library as to the present <br />status of our librazy project. <br />5) He administered the oath of office to our newest police officer, Tom Sichko, on <br />Monday, February 25. <br />6) Demolition of the existing clubhouse at Springvale has begun. <br />7) Last Saturday morning, March 2, he represented North Olmsted at a reception for <br />Capt. O'Brien of the New York Fire Departmern. The United States Conference of <br />Mayors arranged to have 200 cities across the United States host a reception for New <br />York firefighters to express appreciation for the safety forces during the 9/11/01 terrorist <br />attack in the City of New York and to join in expressing sorrow for all of the lost lives <br />,hc <br />
