MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Kasler <br />(Due to a power failure, a portable tape recorder was used. Some speakers could not be <br />clearly heard, and some comments were reported from the Clerk's notes.) <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance <br />as led by Eagle Scout Brian Marks. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 21, 2003 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady announced that the following pieces of legislation would be passed <br />under suspension of the rules: Second Reading, Ordinance 2003-150; First Reading, <br />Resolution 2003-160. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2003-160 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Limpert on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Brian Marks of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. Councilman <br />Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee <br />review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />Gareau and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-160 adopted. Brian was asked to <br />come forward, and the Resolution was read in its entirety. Brian was congratulated by <br />City Council, members of the administration and all who were present. <br />Councilman Gareau made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance 2003-123 <br />which will be referred back to the BZD Committee. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. <br /> <br />
