Council Minutes of 9/2/2003 <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review, and the motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Limpert. Roll call: Kasler, yes; Limpert, yes, with the <br />comment that this is the same firm that the city has been using for other testing, and they <br />have worked out quite well. There is a time constraint as far as needing to get this done. <br />Roll call continued: Dailey, yes; McKay, yes; Miller, yes, commenting that this was <br />discussed briefly in caucus tonight, particularly as to costs involved. Roll call continued: <br />Nashar, yes; Gareau, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Councilwoman Kasler <br />moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed <br />unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-126 adopted. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilman McKay scheduled a Finance Committee meeting for Tuesday, September 9, <br />at 7 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2003-125, Ordinance 2003-87, and comp time. The Law <br />Director and the Finance Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Limpert scheduled a Streets & Drainage Committee immediately following <br />the Finance Committee on September 9. In addition to the committee, the Ward <br />Councilpersons are asked to bring their concerns as far as areas of the city that still need <br />attention regarding drainage. The City Engineer will be in attendance. <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee meeting <br />for Wednesday, September 10, at 7 p.m. to discuss Ordinance 2003-11 and <br />Ordinance 2002-171, and a general discussion of property maintenance issues. The <br />Safety Director is asked to attend. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long- <br />Range Planning Committee meeting immediately following the Public Safety Committee <br />on September 10 to discuss the use of the old library site and Rules of Council. <br />With the agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />Council, President O'Grady adjourned the meeting at 9:10 p.m. <br />r _ ;FV C~l ~ <br />/ / <br />Barbara L.
