Council Minutes of 8/5/03 <br />..~ compromise a claim and declaring an emergency. Councilman Gateau moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. Councilman Gateau moved <br />for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-113 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-114 was inrtroduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into cone-year agreement with the West <br />Group far the purpose of providing Internet-based services to the city Law Department, <br />and declaring an emergency. Councilman Gateau moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman Gateau moved for adoption, <br />and the motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert. Roll call: Gazeau, yes; Limpert, <br />yes; Kasler, yes; Miller, yes, commenting that all of the ordinances being passed under <br />suspension of the rules had been discussed in caucus. Roll call continued: McKay, yes; <br />Dailey, yes; Nashar, yes. The motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 2003-114 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-115 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into cone-year personal services agreement <br />with the law firm of Rademaker, Many, McClelland & Greve to provide professional and <br />specialized legal services, and declaring an emergency. Councilman Miller moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved <br />far adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-115 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 2003-116 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Personnel and Administrative Services to <br />advertise for bids for Comprehensive Municipal Liability, Police Professional Liability, <br />Property & Scheduled Equipment, Broad Form Crime, Automotive Liability & Physical <br />Damage, Public Officials Errors & Omissions, Boiler & Machinery, Inland Marine, EDP, <br />Umbrella, and Liquor Liability insurance, as a package, authorizing the Mayor to enter <br />into a corrtract for said insurance package with the lowest and best bidder, subject to <br />approval by the Board of Control, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEUU~,BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, August 12, to discuss a contractual issue in regard to an injured fire fighter and <br />the issue of the view obstruction on Dover Center Road and Cottonwood. The Mayor, <br />Law Director, Safety Director and Fire Chief are asked to attend. <br />16 <br />
