MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 17, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler <br />McKay, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Members Limpert and Miller <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:06 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />^ Council will be on vacation during the month of July. <br />^ There will be a special Council meeting on Monday, June 30, at 7 p.m., and the <br />agenda items will be Ordinances 2003-99 and 2003-102. <br />^ This evening, the following legislation will be passed under suspension of the rules: <br />second reading, Ordinances 2003-88, 2003-92, Resolution 2003-89; first reading, <br />Resolutions 2003-94, 2003-95 and Ordinances 2003-96, 2003-97 and 2003-98. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2003-94 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Nashar on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution in recognition of the <br />birthday of the United States Army. Councilman Nashar moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman McKay and passed unanimously. Councilman Nashar moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and passed unanimously. Resolution <br />No. 2003-94 adopted. The Clerk read the resolution in its entirety. President O'Grady <br />asked all those who have served in the United States Army and other armed forces to rise <br />and be recognized. <br />Councilwoman Kasler moved that Council amend the agenda to place Ordinance <br />No. 2003-104 on the agenda for first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman <br />McKay and passed unanimously. <br />
