MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 20, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Kasler <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance as led by Eagle Scout Thomas Brisbine. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of May 7, 2003 were approved as written. <br />President O'Crrady announced that the following pieces of legislation would be passed <br />under suspension of the rules: on second reading, Ordinance 2002-86, Ordinance <br />2002-87, Ordinance 2003-75, Resolution 2003-76, Resolution 2003-78; on first reading, <br />Resolution 2003-80, Resolution 2003-82, Resolution 2003-85. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2003-80 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Limpert on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Donald Thomas Brisbine Jr. of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. <br />Councilman Limpert moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Limpert moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Gareau and passed unanimously. President O'Crrady invited Donald to come <br />forward. The Resolution was read in its entirety detailing Donald's accomplishments in <br />his eleven years as a Scout and as a member of Troop 664. Donald received a copy of the <br />Resolution, and he was congratulated by Council Members, members of the <br />administration and all who were present. <br />President O'Grady introduced teachers and students from the North Olmsted High School <br />SITES (Social Involvement Through Education and Service) program: Mr. Robert <br />Pierce, Mrs. Christine Kilbane-Pierce, Katie Kershaw, Michelle Hess, Amal Mustafay <br />Katelyn Leahy, Kelly Papa and Eric Berkey. <br /> <br />i <br />
