MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MAY 7, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance <br />led by Eagle Scout Steven Myers. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of April 15, 2003 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady announced that the following legislation would be passed under <br />suspension of the rules: Ordinance 2003-50, 2003-67, 2003-69, 2003-70, 2003-71; <br />Resolutions 2001-112, 2003-72, 2003-73, 2003-74. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2003-73 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of the Mayor and entire Council. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Steven D. Myers of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. President <br />O'Grady called Steven forward. Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert and passed unanimously. The <br />resolution was read in its entirety. Steven was congratulated by Council and members of <br />the administration and recognized by all present. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The month of April indicated a continuing progress at Springvale in <br />that we are ahead of projections. It was projected that 2,000 rounds would be played in <br />the momh of April, and we had 3,500 rounds. The ballroom receipts are down a little, and <br />more attention will be given to the marketing of Springvale. <br />2) With regard to the Service Director position, the procedure will be as follows: An ad <br />was placed in the Plain Dealer today; and it will run on Sunday, May 11, and Monday, <br />May 12. Resumes will be accepted until May 21. The ad will also be placed on the <br />Northern Ohio Service Director's Association website.
