tn• MINUTES OF TAE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 15, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Kasler, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar, Gareau (arrived at 8:35 p.m.) <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial (present unti18:37 p.m.), Law Director Dubelko, Finance <br />Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of April 1, 2003 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />• Legislation to be passed under suspension of the rules include Resolutions 2003-60, <br />2003-61, 2003-68; Ordinances 2003-64, 2003-65. <br />• The next Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 7 due to election day <br />on Tuesday, May 6. <br />• A public hearing with regard to Ordinance 2003-36 will be held at 7 p.m. on <br />Wednesday, May 7. <br />On behalf of members of Council, President O'Grady extended best wishes to the <br />community for Passover and Easter. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor: 1) He is pleased to announce the hiring of a new City Engineer, Gary Durbin. <br />Mr. Durbin has a wealth of experience having served for a time as chief deputy under <br />County Engineer Tom Neff, and as a Maintenance Engineer under County Engineer Bob <br />Klaiber. Mr. Durbin was the former County Engineer in Knox County for 16 years. <br />During that time, he served as president of the Courny Engineer's Association of Ohio <br />and president of the Ohio Council of County Officials. He was also elected to a position <br />of Regional Northeast Vice-President of the National Association of County Engineers. <br />Upon the creation of the Ohio Public Works Program, Mr. Durbin was elected as the <br />County Engineer's representative to the District Integrating Committee for the district <br />serving Knox County. Just prior to joining the Cuyahoga County Engineer's office in <br />1998, Mr. Durbin was employed by W. D. Partners of Columbus as senior design <br />engineer focusing on site plan design for various projects across the country. During this <br />time, due to the location of the various projects, Mr. Durbin became registered as a <br /> <br />
