MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCII. <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />APRIL 1, 2003 <br />Present: Council President O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:06 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />President O'Grady asked members of the audience to join Council in a moment of silence <br />for the American men and women serving in our Armed Forces. <br />Councilman Fiareau moved to amend the agenda to place on first reading Ordinances <br />2003-64 and 2003-65. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed <br />unanimously. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of March 18, 2003 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady announced the following legislation would be passed under <br />suspension of the rules: Ordinances 2003-51, 2003-58; Resolutions 2003-42, 2003-49, <br />2003-56, 2003-57, 2003-59, 2003-63. <br />President O'Grady welcomed leaders and Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 332 from St. <br />Richard's School and members of the VFW Post 7647 <br />REPQRTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) A new Recreation program catalogue will be distributed within the <br />next month. An on-going review of all Recreation Department operations and policies is <br />continuing with the input of staff and patrons. These adjustments and recommendations <br />will be presented for review and approval to the Recreation Commission. <br />2) Springvale is open, coming through the winter in good shape, and golfers are enjoying <br />the good weather. The fee increases for 2003 are in effect and have not been opposed by <br />any groups or individuals. Anew point of sale computer system has been installed and is <br />operating successfully. Facility manager Marty Young continues to feel very optimistic <br />about the prospects for a successful season. Fish fries began on Ash Wednesday and are <br />continuing every Friday through Lent and have been very well attended. <br />3) The successful grand opening of Dillard's was held on March 19. Dillard's, as one of <br />the corner stores, will help to insure the continued success of Great Northern Mall. <br /> <br />
