Councilman Dailey moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review, and the motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Gareau. Roll call: Dailey, yes; Gareau, yes, commenting <br />that the legislation is just simply an expression that Council urges the State of Ohio to <br />look at trimming back its expenses and how it conducts business before it starts telling <br />the residents of the State of Ohio that they should kick in greater portions that otherwise <br />may have never been taxed. Roll call continued: Kasler, yes; Limpert, no; McKay, yes; <br />Miller, yes; Nashar, yes. The motion passed with six yeas and one nay. Councilman <br />Dailey moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gareau and <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2003-35 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-36 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau. An ordinance amending Section 1123.13 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code, <br />entitled "Finality of Board's Order," to permit the city to seek appellate review of <br />determinations made by the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />MLSCELLANEOUS BUSINESS <br />Councilwoman Kasler scheduled a Public Safety Committee meeting for 6:50 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, February 25, to discuss a liquor permit. <br />Councilman Nashar scheduled a BZD Committee meeting immediately following the <br />Public Safety Committee on February 25 to discuss Ordinance 2003-36. The Law <br />Director and a representative from the Building Department are asked to attend. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled a Finance Committee meeting immediately following the <br />BZD Committee on February 25 to discuss Resolutions 2003-23, 2003-24, 2003-26, <br />2003-27 and Ordinance 2003-31. The Mayor, Safety Director and Law Director are <br />asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a Recreation Committee meeting immediately following <br />the Finance Committee on February 25 to discuss Ordinance 2003-32. The Safety <br />Director and Springvale Manager are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled a Legislative Committee meeting immediately following <br />the Recreation Committee on February 25 to discuss Ordinances 2003-25, 2003-33 and <br />Resolutions 2003-28, 2003-24, 2003-30, 2003-34.
