Council Minutes of 2/18/2003 <br />Resolution No. 2003-28 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />i,„~ McKay on behalf of the Mayor. A resolution expressing support for the "BRIDGE" <br />program and its components: Adopt an Officer and/or Firefighter, Cazeer Connections, <br />Crossovers, and After-school Activities, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-29 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller on behalf of Council Member Kasler and himself. An authorizing and directing <br />the Mayor to study the feasibility of locating, and entering into a new water service <br />agreement with, a Lorain County public water system in order to procure water supply <br />services to the City of North Olmsted and its residents and property owners, and further <br />directing the Mayor to report to the Council on a regular basis regarding the status of his <br />efforts in this regard, and declazing an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-30 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller on behalf of the Mayor. A resolution creating a new Citizens' Committee for the <br />purpose of gathering and presenting to City Council projects for consideration for the <br />city's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG} applications for fiscal years 2004 <br />through 2006. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-31 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the Mayor. An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with the North Olmsted Firefighters Local 1267, I.A.F.F., which agreement is <br />the collective bargaining agreement between the city and the North Olmsted Fire <br />Department, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-32 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Limpert. An ordinance amending Section One, Two and Three of Ordinance No. 98-110 <br />in order to establish new and revised fees for the use of the North Olmsted Springvale <br />Golf Course and Ballroom <br />Ordinance No. 2003-33 was introduced and placed on first reading by Council Member <br />Kasler on behalf of Councilmen Miller, Gareau, Nashaz, Dailey and herself. An <br />ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of North Olmsted of an <br />amendment to Article III, Section 5(a) of the Charter of the City of North Olmsted to <br />require that mayoral appointments of directors be subject to confirmation by a majority of <br />the members of Council <br />Resolution No. 2003-34 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller. A resolution supporting the Cuyahoga County Mayors and Managers <br />Association's study of the feasibility of forming a regional water department similaz to <br />the Northeast Ohio Sewer District, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-35 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Dailey on behalf of Councilman Gareau and himself. A resolution urging the Governor <br />of the State of Ohio and the Ohio State Legislature to seek different ways to balance the <br />State of Ohio's budget shortfall rather than on the backs of Ohio consumers, Realtors and <br />15 <br />
