Council Minutes of 2/18/2003 <br />Ordinance No. 2003-20 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the crediting of all of insurance proceeds revenues <br />received in the year 2003, up to a maximum amount of fifty thousand dollars <br />($50,000.00), which would otherwise be credited to the "Casualty Loss Fund," to the <br />General Fund, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-21 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the crediting of all of the hoteUmotel tax revenues <br />received in the year 2003, up to a maximum amount of two hundred sixty thousand <br />dollars ($260,000.00), which would otherwise be credited to the "HoteUMotel Tax <br />Fund," to the General Fund, and declaring an emergency as amended. <br />Resolution No. 2003-23 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gazeau on behalf of the Mayor. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to <br />advertise for bids for printing of the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter North Olmsted <br />Parks and Recreation Department brochures, as per specifications now on file in his office, <br />and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-24 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the Mayor. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service <br />to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide new pavement markings to <br />various streets at vazious locations in the city, as detailed in the specifications on file in <br />the Engineering Department, and authorizing the Mayor, following approval of the Board <br />of Control, if necessary, to contract for the same with the lowest and best bidder, and <br />declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-25 was introduced and placed in first reading by Council Member <br />Kasler on behalf of Councilmen Miller, Dailey, Nashar, Gazeau and herself. An <br />ordinance creating new Sections 139.12 and 141.08 of the Administrative Code, entitled, <br />respectively, "Additional Duties of Safety Director" and "Additional Duties of Service <br />Director," in order to require the Directors of Public Safety and Public Service to attend <br />ail regular meetings of the City Council <br />Resolution No. 2003-26 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the Mayor. A resolution dispensing with an RFP process and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a new contract with Professional Service Industries, <br />Inc. ("PSI") in order to provide independent earthwork and hot rnix asphalt paving <br />inspection and testing services in connection with the construction phase of the new <br />North Olmsted Library project, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 2003-27 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the Mayor. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to <br />request proposals for vazious inspection and testing services to be provided to the city in <br />connection with the construction of the new North Olmsted Branch Library: further, <br />authorizing the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a <br />contract with the firm selected in the RFP process, and declaring an emergency. <br />14 <br />
