(Ordinance 2002-186, rezoning of
property from One Family Residence District to Single Family Cluster District.)
AUDIE,~TCE PARTIC P1~A,TION
Leonard Corsi, representing Greystone Realty Group, developers of the Rockwynd
project, explained the location of the development. The project is north of I-480 and to
the south of the apartments that front on Brookpark Road. The property is abutted by
large single family residences on Columbia Road, and there is some vacant land to the
east which is currently zoned single family. This will be a 31-unit single family cluster
developmenrt.
President O'Grady asked Mr. Corsi to explain where the entrance to the development
would be located. Mr. Corsi explained that the one and only entrance would be off of
Columbia Road. After the apartments at the corner of Columbia Road and Brookpark,
there is a single family home, then vacant property which will be their boulevard
entrance-way.
George Schmitz, 4883 Grace Road, asked Mr. Corsi to explain if the units were one
family or two family. Mr. Corsi responded that the 31 units were single family homes.
Some of them are non-attached and some are attached, but no more than three are
attached. Mr. Schmitz questioned the drainage arrangements. Mr. Corsi explained that
the storm water from the development would drain onto I-480, and they do have a permit
from the Ohio Department of Transportation for that drainage. With regard to sanitary
sewers, they were required to do calculations and control the flow of the sewage. That
plan will be reviewed by the Engineering Department. Mr. Schmitz then asked if Mr.
Corsi was aware of any future plans for more development in the area. He is concerned
that another development may have an exit on Grace Road, which he feels would be a
safety hazard as it is a small street with many children. Mr. Corsi explained that his
company did not own the land, so he could not answer that question.
