MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />,~.,. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 4, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the Council meeting to order at 8:01 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />President O'Grady asked all to join him in a moment of silence in memory of the crew of <br />the space shuttle Columbia. <br />Councilman McKay moved to amend the agenda for a special legislation section to <br />address Resolution No. 2003-13. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and <br />passed unanimously. <br />President O'Grady announced that Resolution No. 2003-13 would be passed under <br />suspension of the rules. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2003-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />McKay on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution to honor and <br />recognize the accomplishments of Vera Brewer and to congratulate her on being named <br />the 2003 Woman of the Year for the League of Women Voters of Westlake/North <br />Olmsted. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings <br />and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman McKay moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. President O'Grady invited Mrs. Brewer to <br />come forward, and the Resolution was read in its entirety. Mrs. Brewer was presented <br />with the Resolution, congratulated by Council and members of the administration and <br />recognized by all present. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: Public Hearings will be held on <br />February 18 at 6:45 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-186 which deals with the rezoning of the <br />Rockwynd cluster development; at 7:15 p.m. for Ordinance 99-77 which deals with <br />commercial lighting. <br />
