MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ,~.,. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FEBRUARY 4, 2003 Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman President of Council O'Grady called the Council meeting to order at 8:01 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. President O'Grady asked all to join him in a moment of silence in memory of the crew of the space shuttle Columbia. Councilman McKay moved to amend the agenda for a special legislation section to address Resolution No. 2003-13. The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashar and passed unanimously. President O'Grady announced that Resolution No. 2003-13 would be passed under suspension of the rules. SPECIAL LEGISLATION Resolution No. 2003-13 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman McKay on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution to honor and recognize the accomplishments of Vera Brewer and to congratulate her on being named the 2003 Woman of the Year for the League of Women Voters of Westlake/North Olmsted. Councilman McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Miller and passed unanimously. President O'Grady invited Mrs. Brewer to come forward, and the Resolution was read in its entirety. Mrs. Brewer was presented with the Resolution, congratulated by Council and members of the administration and recognized by all present. President O'Grady made the following announcements: Public Hearings will be held on February 18 at 6:45 p.m. for Ordinance 2002-186 which deals with the rezoning of the Rockwynd cluster development; at 7:15 p.m. for Ordinance 99-77 which deals with commercial lighting.
