Council Minutes of 2/4/2003 <br />Ordinance No. 2003-21 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor Musial. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the crediting of all of the hoteUmotel tax revenues <br />received in the year 2003, up to a maximum amount of two hundred twenty-five thousand <br />dollars ($225,000.00), which would otherwise be credited to the "Hotel/Motel Tax <br />Fund," to the General Fund, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2003-22 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of himself and Council members Miller, Kasler, Nashar, McKay and <br />Dailey. An ordinance amending Section 161.06 of the Administrative Code, entitled <br />"Vehicle Mileage Allowance" so as to establish a new city policy regarding the use of <br />city and private vehicles by city employees for official city business, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS BUSIlVESS <br />Councilman Nashar scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />February 11, to discuss the Parcel E proposal and Planning Commission items. The Law <br />Director, and representatives from the Building and Engineering Departments are asked <br />to attend. <br />Councilman Dailey scheduled a Transportation Committee meeting for 6:45 p.m. on <br />Tuesday, February 11, to discuss Ordinance 2003-22. All individuals who use city <br />vehicles are invited to attend, and he asked that those individuals provide justification for <br />why they would like to maintain the vehicles and what usage has been in the past. <br />Councilman McKay scheduled a joint Finance and Public Safety Committee meeting to <br />immediately follow the BZD Committee on February 11 to discuss Ordinances 2003-12, <br />2003-14, 2003-18, 2003-19, 2003-20, 2003-21 and Resolutions 2003-15 and 2003-16. <br />The Finance Director, the Mayor and appropriate personnel to discuss the library are <br />asked to attend. <br />Councilman Miller scheduled an Intra-Governmental Relations and Legislation; Long- <br />Range Planning Committee immediately following the Finance Committee meeting on <br />February i 1 to discuss Ordinance 2002-72 and Ordinance 2003-17. The sponsors of the <br />legislation are asked to attend. <br />Councilwoman Kasler noted that Ordinance 2003-18, 2003-19 and 2003-2i will be <br />discussed at the joint Finance and Public Safety Committee meeting. She scheduled a <br />Public Safety Committee meeting following the Legislative Committee on February 11 to <br />discuss Ordinance 2003-11 and the proposed traffic study for Casrterbury Road. The <br />Mayor and Safety Director are asked to attend. <br />16 <br />
