MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />tt~. OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 3, 2004 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 19, 2004 were approved as written. <br />Councilman Gareau made a motion to amend the agenda to add Ordinance 2004-176 on <br />first reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman McKay and passed unanimously. <br />President O'Grady offered congratulations to all candidates who ran a good race in <br />yesterday's election, regardless of the outcome. Special congratulations to the city for the <br />passage of the fire station levy and to the committee and its chairperson Councilman <br />Duane Limpert. <br />President O'Grady announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2004-158 and Resolutions <br />2004-163 and 2004-167; first reading, Ordinance 2004-169, 2004-173 and Resolutions <br />2004-131 and 172. <br />President O'Grady announced a public hearing would be held with regard to Ordinance <br />2004-153 at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) A very sincere thank you to the residents of North Olmsted for passing <br />the Fire Station No. 2 bond issue yesterday. This is another step forward in his quest to <br />make North Olmsted a premier city in the State of Ohio. Particular thanks to <br />Councilman Duane Limpert as chair of the committee for his activities with regards to the <br />promotion of the replacement of the fire station and the bond issue and thanks also to <br />Assistant Fire Chief Ed Robertson for his work. <br />2) With the foundation of this very important capital building project in place, it's not too <br />k~ early to now set in motion the consideration, location and construction of yet another <br />. <br />~.. _, ... w . ,x. <br />I <br />
