Council Minutes of 9/21/2004 <br />Resolution No. 2004-152 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Limpert on behalf of the entire Council. A resolution opposing the proposal of the <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority ("GCRTA") to eliminate the Number 53 <br />Great Northern - Cerner Ridge bus route, which has been operated by the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line ("NOMBL") since the early 1960's, urging GCRTA to instead <br />convert the Number 53 bus route into a community circulator route and expand its route <br />as recommended by its own consultant, to include additional service on Dover Center <br />Road, Center Ridge Road, and Crocker Road to the Westlake Promenade, and declaring <br />an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-153 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau. An ordinance amending various sections of Chapter 1126 of the North Olmsted <br />Zoning Code in order to establish formalized presubmittal conference requirements, and <br />otherwise improving and streamlining the administrative review process, for all <br />development plans subject to Chapter 1126 review. <br />Resolution No. 2004-154 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller on behalf of Mayor Musial. A resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement with Personnel Selection Services Incorporated, to provide the Civil Service <br />Commission with testing materials for an entry level police officer examination, and <br />declaring an emergency. Councilman Miller moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Limpert <br />and passed unanimously. Councilman Miller moved for adoption. The motion was <br />seconded by Councilwoman Kasler and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2004-154 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 2004-155 was irnroduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Miller on behalf of himself and Council members Nashar, Kesler and Dailey. An <br />ordinance amending Section Three of Ordinance No. 98-110, as previously amended by <br />Ordinance No. 2003-32, in order to authorize the Springvale Facility Operations Manager <br />to vary rates for ballroom rentals and golf and ballroom program fees and charges, and to <br />provide for Board of Corrtrol review and approval of rate reductions in excess of ten <br />percent, and declaring an emergency. <br />MISCELLANEOUS $USINESS <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />September 28, to discuss Ordinance 2004-153. The City Engineer, Planning Director and <br />Law Director are asked to attend. <br />Councilman Gareau scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on <br />Wednesday, September 29, for a discussion of real property maintenance. The Safety <br />Director is asked to attend, and other individuals will be invited once the agenda is <br />formalized. <br />18 <br />
